Got him at about an inch from cjbarth here on MFK. Great deal but a risk at that size. I did acutally make all my money back on the ones I grew out, still beautifull texas! He ended up free!

My fish were shot with sun light or with a normal t8 flouri to give you a idea of how the red is with and without a special light.
Also most people use them to take pics of there stock to sell it to make them appear more deep red.

What is beneficial about keeping wild fish in your tanks? Nothing other than more fish to chose from you just hurt their species more by removing them from the wild. You're not prolonging the species or anything. Keep what you like and quit spamming the ops thread with your hate for hybrids. Red texas are certainly more rare/unique than any purebred they've been selectively bred for nice features.
To the op talk to rainybetta on aquabid if you want a faded red texas or get some fry off of cjbarth on here. He is from wisconsin and can ship you fry for cheap there is a good chance you will get something nice both of his parents are thai imports from rainnybetta and he has produced a couple really nice ones.
