Here in Maryland you will find rt like the one you had RD and they will run you anywhere between $150-$450 depending on the size of the fish. It's two lfs that have them now but they are not fertile far as the males. This maybe the reason why they have them but the store that is called House Of Tropical only gets 6 every month but the store called Beltway Aquarium order their rt from Thailand and they sell them from $80-$200. Now it's a guy here in Baltimore that sometimes supply both stores with rts but he keeps his fertile males and pass off the bs males.
As far as aquascapeonline, ya, except you'll never find anyone that owns one of their RT's that look anything like what's shown in their pics.
FYI - that male I posted the pic of was 10" when I got him, hence the price, and this was a number of years back. I also know that nice RT's can be found at some LFS, but not for the prices that they sell Petsmart grade Kamfa. In the world of RT's & SRT's, you generally get what you pay for.
