I have a couple nice RT females I need to keep working with first. The one laid with him twice and he got the whole plate. She just likes the taste of wigglers. The other is with him now and still waiting.

Lol my male angel fish was pretty well the same way, always ate the fry about a week after they were free swimming.

You could put a divider in there to separate the male from the female. Granted I don't know how this would affect the fry if at all but it would be better then losing the female. How are the fry looking so far?
