what is the use in being an *******, it is FAR from impossible for the 2 to breed, and males and females do this as part of the pairing process, which brings me to the question how old are you? how long have you kept fish? you should know that this can also be a sign of breeding behavior as well as dominance.

im not saying that it could not be dominance, but im saying the pairing/spawning part IS 100% a possibility.

all it would make for is a dull cichlid. imo rtm are very nice cichlids whiile beani have somewhat become rare in the hobby they are a plain brownish and not much to look at imo.

Yeah, I can be jerkish sometimes. Something inside me just makes me call out stupid posts (sorry ewok, but it is a retarded topic). It's a purely hypothetical situation that I feel gives nothing to the MFK community and asks nothing of the MFK community while detracting from relevent CA/SA cichlid postings. Or maybe I'm just an extremist.

You are a very cold man. I know this based on posts you have commented on before. Though you are very knowledgable. I feel though I do agree with you on a VERY unlikely chance of any breeding going on I still think that this is what MFK is buddy. Post that describe whats going on in everyone's tank. It can't always be concrete facts about fish because then it wouldn't be a place to socialize. So your comment is kind of defeating the purpose of this forum.

It is relevent to CA's because what if breeding happens to go on. Many people will now know that Beani and RTM can successfully breed. So it is contributing.

I find it funny that you don't Humbly estimate someones Merits or importance without vanity, egotism ( extremist comment) or pretenseful yet you User name say Modest_Man.

ewok. Your right I would never breed them. Just don't do it. I mean there are fish to hybridize but then there other that should just be left alone like Lyonsi, Labridens, etc etc. Common fsih I would say it's kind of redundant to say people won't hybridize.

well IMHO if i see a retarded post that makes no sense i won't make attempts to post there... this was an excited post that may interest some.
to be perfectly honest this isn't the most serious forum around, and i'm glad it's not. how many postings have we seen where people were asking 'should i get a dovii or umbee?' and how many hypothetical postings have we seen - 'i may get a 180 - what to stock it with?'

we have these postings because people want involvement and feedback from other people, or it could be an excited FYI... which in this case it was. whether it made sense to you or not, well to each their own. but frankly speaking it mattered to someone else as you can see from the responses on here. not everyone wants to be super serious about things. this is a community of people with different personalities and being accepting of differences is key.
