Hello good people!

In a little over three weeks' time, I am getting a 4 foot tank, either a 90 or 110 gallons, but no smaller (I may have money for the 110, if not I will settle for 90). It will be a CA/SA community.
The planned inhabitants were a Goldsaum (green terror), Severum, Geo. Steindachneri, and a one-eyed carpinte, along with a few pictus cats for cleanup.

Then I saw the Motaguense at my LFS. I loved it! Since the green terror and tex are the largest, most aggro fish on my list, would I be able to switch one of them and instead have a red tiger mota? I have heard these were more peaceful than the other guapotes, and does well with similar sized fish. I would probably get a female, in hopes of it being more peaceful, but do you think it would work? I would prefer to have the one-eyed green texas stay, as I doubt anyone else would want him, and he would live out his life in a plastic LFS box.

SO whaddaya think? would it work?

Sorry I forgot you said you were switching it with another fish. Yeah, I would switch it out with the Texas. Out of the two it is definatly more aggresive then the green terror. And get a female red tiger, better coloring.

Ugh, now more people are telling me it would be fine: Im torn.

I think I may try it with the mota and GT, and I might give the geo a tank of his own, and if the mota is too aggro i could always just return her. I will try to get a pretty passive Mota, as most people have said It depend on the fish's personality.

that is just true with any fish though. Personally I just like less crowded tanks. I think it is better for the fish. I have a 75 with a pair of Salvini's and a 150 with a pair of Red Tigers.

I usually dont stock tanks so heavily either- In the past I had a 180 with an Oscar, JD, and a silver aro. But at the moment I cant have as many tanks, or as big tanks, so I am looking to stock this oe heavier than some others, because I likly wont be able to get another tank this large for quite a while.

i think you'll have plenty of room with the stock list you're talking about. personally if you're going to switch something for the tiger mota (which i think is a great idea, those fish are badass) i would trade it up for the geo or the severum, both of which are less aggressive than the other fish mentioned. i like green terrors way better than either of those...texas too
