east bay
hello everyone! my first post and i cant wait for the ridicule but i am enjoying a 7" jd who is super mello, 4" red parrot, 3" managuense who thinks he runs the tank already and a l. mouth bass 6" thats the freindliest and hungriest fish i ever seen. Am also a mf catcher or at least i try to be. Dont have a ton of tank experience but i do like the idea of the red tiger mota... i think a pair in the 3" class could stand a fighting chance in my community. Im in the east bay and dont really care for my parrot its bright orange and would let some one have if they wanted it. anyone out there have a lead on some red motaguenses?

hey im in the east bay to and i can get some 3-4 inch rtms and welcome to MFK

wut do u mean keep going? i have umbee to for sale and jaguar fry.

thanks for the welcome, id like em to be equally matched to my managuense who seems to not like my bass's presence and is bossy towards a fish twice his size. how do you think they fare? I mean to ask are they typically more or less agressive then...

everything depends on the fish i usualy buy 3 of 1 fish and keep the nice one and sell the mean ones, also i have a pair of jags and they are super mean i cant even open the hood to feed them whithout them jumping out the water attacking me lol

$16 were in the east bay do u live

umm what size is the tank? and yeah it varies from fish to fish but overall i would say that mota tend to be a little less aggressive than managuense, they also dont get quite as large. also i would let that bass go, they dont like the warmer temps that the cichlids do, i wouldnt even keep a bass in a heated tank

ive had the opposite experience. with both my female mota and freddy being far more territorial and aggressive than my pair of jags twice their size in the same tank.
