i a grea with everything stated here and dew worm i buy at the local fishing store are my staple diet for my monsters aswell as seafood superworms...etc
and i was also thinking of farmong my own in the backyard this year to cut down on cost because they are real expensive
i have also looked into buying them directly from a farm until i can do this
also has anyone herd of fedding grasshoppers cause there is a million around me i live in a national park?
You can buy them cheaply in bulk (500) at walleye masters in Edmonton and then get them shipped to you. Lots of guys in Calgary have started to do this. To much of a pain in the butt to raise them as food for stingrays.

For rays, I would agree. My hens don't even care for red wrigglers-- too damn small. I do raise wrigglers for my juvenile aros and some of my pseuda's, and they work great. Super easy to maintain, and there's plenty of literature on the web on how to construct a compost box.

yeah i dont feed mine red wigglers but i feed em dew worms ( my aro, CKF ,TSN...etc...)and i am going to try and breed some in a rubermaid system and feed them only fresh/rotting carrots ...i was looking online and they are real easy to raise....worms/dirt/moisture/rotting carrots:headbang2
