Hes right they gotta get used to their new surroundings...he may not eat for a week, and also sometimes its better to jus feed them and leave the room, might be a lil skittish eating if you are sitting right their watching. But eventually he'll get used to u and associate u with dinner time and will get excited when u come around.

JMO...dont drop food in and leave the room.
it ill take longer for him to get used to you.
just drop in the food and if he doesnt eat it,take it out.
keep doing that and let him starve if he wants.
he knows its food and will not kill himself over starving.
and he will get used to you faster and realize you are the one supplying the food.
