Looks like it injured itself or maybe something else. Look under the left eye looks almost like a round burn mark. The heater is on the other side of the divider though.

Just keep the water clean. It should heal up well. Keep an eye out on the spot. My old red used to get spots all the time when little and would go away as long as the water was clean.

I may just scrap the QT. They are all new anyway. Picked up some PetSmart fish to train her. Going to keep adding to a school of lamp eye tetra and some blue gourami. Maybe grab some tiger barbs too
