Gold is a big baby lol. And yea erythrinus in general aren't much as far as aggression goes. I've not noticed any difference between purple and red as I told you but others believe reds are worse, can't say I've read anything if substance in regards to that. Jelly said it back in like 2011 and it stuck. But no proof was provided. They behave like my gold ime. They will nip something while it's new but once that fish retaliates they give up. And wolves in general are good eaters, can't say I ever had trouble with them. Only thing is Hoplias when they hit a foot seem to go on hunger strikes for a few months here and there. So the gold wasn't the issue ? So they black, purple , and gold all chilled out until the black decided ? Pretty interesting
I think I like the gold best would really like to keep them down the road.
So far this red has been totally docile. The little cat and even the gourami's punk it.
But man it can eat hasn't refused anything yet. Carnivore, NLS mega fish, theraA, and tilapia
Something to contradict my experience though, so you know the risk. As I always say each fish has its own personality.
