red wolffish

hey my snakehead killed himself by jumping through the lid. So a few days after that i got a red wolffish that was already in a store for half a year.
He seems to do fine but he is very skitisch and hides the whole day. It has only been 2 days but does someone have some tips to get him out of hiding?
Also i couldn't find if they like slow streaming water or more turbulent waters.

Wait it out and let it put on some size. It’ll eventually get bold on its own.

Two days???

I recently got one of these and it took over three weeks for it to even appear for the first time. It is in a heavily planted tank with numerous chunks of driftwood, flower pot, etc. and remained hidden and invisible all that time, feeding on live guppies, apparently only at night. When it finally put in an appearance, it was after not being fed for several days; frozen krill brought it out almost immediately. After that it took only a couple days for it to become very bold and unafraid. It still rests in concealed places at times, but is also patrolling the tank much of the time and approaches the front to be fed.

Why is everyone so impatient? Relax!

yeah im def impatient XD.
But i was just wondering if its normal behaviour or if he needs some time to adjust.
I normally keep snakeheads and those attack me after 10min of introducing to new tank.
