Red Zebra compatible?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Are they compatible? Maybe. Kenyi are one of the more aggressive Africans, and generally should be kept in a 72 gallon or larger aquarium.

Also, depending on the size of your Kenyi's, you may not have all females. I have some male kenyi's who didn't start changing their colors until after they reached around 3" in lenght. If any of them are male, you might have a problem.

And yes, Zebra males will breed with Kenyi females, whether you want them to or not.

I should be able to answer this question, but for some strange deformed reason my red is a big baby and probably the most peaceful in the tank next to my yellow zebra.

Your red zebras will breed like rabbits if you find your male some females of the same species, why try to mix them??? I have red zebras mating all of the time, occasionally I get some fry that are blue which apparently in the wild most of the males are blue. So I have some assortment of color from the same species.
