well i'm not goin to get rapped up in this so i just stopped to say i saw some fry in the pic... you all can say you dont see any but come on. What is that by the RD and the lil pipe then? looks like a fry to me

I saw fry in the 1st 2 pics & plenty of parent fish have eaten their 1st spawn or 2 so I can see them disappearing. In captivity the desire to pass on genes over rules the need to find a same species mate to preserve a species as it is in nature. Plus a lot of captive bred fish are used to seeing other species so will spawn with whoever is avaiable,that's why there are so many flowerhorns.

Wow this is a Might Old thread....by now the frys would have been huge or dead either way, LOL.

The frys apparently disappeared, I think because of one of the parents eating them. This would likely happen if one of the parents were removed. Just think what happens when the frys are moved, the parents always fight.
