coolness. i thought it would have become "normal" coloured after you changed the substrate. how far does this prove that the colour is genetic, then? poly or sol?

Now with a bit more size it is clearly a Spotted / Florida.

Interesting fish.
What are you feeding it currently? And do you happen to Know the water chemistry? (pH, hardness Etc.)

Thanks everyone.

This fella is a fussy eater. I can only get it to eat feeders and nothing else. Tried worms, frozen prawns/smelt, pellets etc. I would have sold him off if not for his 'unique' colouration
