Reddish Spotted Gar

I just got this guy home...it seem different from the normal rest...
any idea how come it is like this??

hmm that's interesting, we just had another like that in this thread.

it's probably just due to enviromental conditions ie:water temp, substrate colour, lighting etc.

Or could be Xanthic.. But most probibally a regular...

Thanks for the link...quite interesting cos the rest look normal. It is about 4"+ now...
I wonder if it is rare?

same as all other spotteds. this variaion doesn't do anything to it. btw where'd you get this fish from?

Richard, this specimen seems to be patternless aside from the line across the mid too. might want to take a closer look at it...
