Reddish Spotted Gar

Well I got it from my local fish shop... the whole group about 20+/- of them look normal only for this one so it mine haha...
 
i'm from sg too, but if it's only this guy then nvm. keep us updated as he grows!

oh haha didnt notice...well I got it from Y618. Perhap can look around... seem like new batch of spotted...BTW it only $5
 
no this red gar has a nice dark line but i otherwise it's patternless. i think richard pointed that out in the other re gar post(unless i was mistaken)

check under big fish... inside got almost the same type....here a picture of it still got other type

It is still quite young so will not show dorsal or lateral spotting. As the fish grows the spots will begin to break from the Dorsal and lateral stripe. They all are pretty much patternless at this size.

The difference between this one and the other is that the other was much larger. It is not terribly uncommon for gars to show this red brown coloration. It will be very interesting to see how the coloration of this fish will turn out as it grows.
