How does the sand do with the HOB Power filter. Because when I but sand in the one side of my tank it broke the impeller inside and had to be replaced

sand + hob is not such a good idea as im now seeing. at first it was fine, but one of the ones on my ray's tank is being really really dumb. id rather have like 6 fluvals neways.
