So I did it, stocked my buddies lake with all my fish and then he wanted more so I went to the creek and stocked his lake with more. Last week we seined a lot more Darters, found a honey hole, we were pulling between 20 and 50 Darters at a time, releasing most and I took home a few. We also found another Steelcolor Shiner. I'm looking to get a small school of them but they are hard to find. We also got some young Hognose, I took 3 home. This time I added a power head close to the bottom of the tank and then I extended the FX5 hose so the Out hose is close to the bottom as well creating another current. I then added a bunch of plants for all the top level swimmers. I left the air stones in there for more movement and I will probably add another power head. Tomorrow we are going to seine for Madtoms. The last one I had was killed by a crawdad that I thought was no longer in there. I know for for sure there are no crawdads left. I also added two moss balls and will be adding some duckweed.

This was taken with my phone, which sucks, Monday I will upload a new video that is clearer and with more fish.

Awesome tank and I love the darters Masterb, but I would be carefull with which Madtoms you put in there; Large Madtoms will eat darters, so you might want to look for some that don't get over 3 inches long.

Yea I know, most toms are between 1 and 3". The last one I had, I'm sure he ate some but he was mostly eating 2 night crawlers and he was a good 4.5-5".

I had a lot of Darters die on my, mainly because they were hurt during the seining. But I still have about 50. :)

Mostly Rainbows, Johnny, and either a Banded or Greenside Darter. Last year we caught all sorts of Log Perch, this year we haven't seen any. Thats what I really want.

Here are some of our Darters. We have endangered Darters but they are to the far south of me so I don't have to worry about them.

I really love darters.......when I first got into natives I made the mistake of trying to keep some logperch with sunnies, lol I had some reeeally fat happy sunnies for awhile. I looked online at some pics of greenside darters, beautifull fish; to brighten the colors on my sunnies I used to give them bloodworms and gutloaded scuds.
