I am super into micro fishing up here in canada I built my own diy tanago rod its not that great and use fly fishing hooks I usually use a ultra light ice rod though I dont keep track but I have caught panfish as small as 1/2" and several types of gobies and actually won an award for smallest fish at a local derby everyone wants to catch the biggest fish but no one understands how hard it is to catch the little ones

ah a fellow micro fisherman! Do you happen to be a lifelister as well?

Ok.... I have to ask. What is a Lifelister?
FWI, I was a micro fishing when micro fishing wasn't cool, LOL (early 70's)
Is there an online community for micro fisherman? I do follow one guy who posts pictures. He is called the "Fish Puncher" funny name

I follow him aswell! A life lister is someone dedicated to catching as many different fish species as possible and cataloguing them on their lifelist. There is an online community but it is mostly on Instagram. Life listers often micro fish to add species to their list. Steve Wozniak a prominent life lister has almost 1900 species on his list. He has an amazing blog called “1000 fish blog”. Another prominent lifelister is extremely philly fishing who has a YouTube channel. I highly recommend it.
