That sure does look like a grass pickerel and not a redfin. Nice looking fish though. I may be catching some grass pickerel myself this weekend.

Nice fish Chad I really need to get my grass pickerel now. Also, are you sure that's a redfin pickerel? It's fins arn't red so it might be a grass pickerel.

Yes, I am sure it is a redfin pickerel, Esox americanus americanus. There are no grass pickerel this far east. It had red coloration when collected but nowhere close to the coloration of the ones KSI collects.

I am also positive it is a redfin! You cannot see it in the pictures but he has red just on the outlines of his fins. He should color up a bit more as he gets older i think.

Well I don't have one but I know drew said that next season his buddy might be selling some so you may want to talk to him. And I don't really care if the color on his fins intensifies. I think he is a beautiful fish just as he is now. I love this fish. And he is an awsome predator that always stays out in the open.
