High nitrates?

Hmm could that cause a red algae bloom

Well Im almost color bliind but when Ive had high nitrates Ive seen a reddish brown algae form. this is often the case when I come home after being gone awhile. My wife is not as enthusiastic with water hanges as I am.

Ok thanks for the help ill run some nitrate tests and see what i get.

Sounds like a cyanobacteria.
