I can't remember where I read it. I read alot of expedition and science journals and trade pubs.

The same paper noted that RTCs do not rely on sight when feeding. If hunting, any motion detected near their whiskers triggers a feeding response. Swimming/wading birds, mammals, reptiles, etc. have been pulled from RTC guts when the fish were prepped for selling/eating.

I have heard about that. Manny animals do that including birds
