Hey Otherone there is picture of a brycon in one of my books.It has a black slash through the tailfin and it is called the sickle banded brycon.Have you ever seen it around?

I've got over a dozen that are more than 16" and they range up to 26"tl and everyone was measured.
We caught more than 3 dozen out my 15 in 2009. I put them outside for the summer into several ponds. Only one Brycon was under 16". I gave away more than half and kept 17 and put them in the big tank that fall.
What species do you keep?

There might still be some at Reptilia in Toronto. I gave them a few for their Nile Crocodile tank. When they came to get them they brought 4 coolers to put them in. The brycon were too big to go in all their coolers except one.
i keep this one. finally got a decent picture of him so here you go. any ideas on the species? does anyone have any experience with brycons jumping. hes in an open top right now and it makes me kinda nervous.
