he used to be a very dark black and white till lately now he is gray and white not sure why but the white still remains a pearly white and the tail is very red
could he be stressed out he also had some red in his mouth? i recently did a water change and treated him with medication the red in his mouth went away but now hes still grey

i want the best for him and before i give him to my dad to put inside his old pond that used to have kois i want to make sure hes healthy and not sick

He may look grey/cloudy because of the thicker/excess mucus layer - a usual reaction to stress. Most commonly a result of inadequate water. Why do you use an ammonia blocker? It is not a normal aquarium practice... so we need to know more to try and help you. Describe the tank and the filtration please, the water parameters - NH3, NO2, NO3, pH, temp, hardness. A photo of the tank and fish always helps to help.

Check that PH make sure it's atleast 7. If it is then your problem could be having medicine still in water retails are scaleless. The don't react good too any mess. Keep in mind the do change once they get close too 2 foot. Some times they get yellowish in them. Some locals call them banana cats.

Welcome to the MFK!

Sorry, I fail to detect a problem with your RTC appearance. I do see a potentially lethal problem with the pellets getting sucked into the pump and filter, rotting there and spoiling the water and then sickening and killing the fish.
