A stock tank would be just fine actually... still the general rule applies... the bigger the foot print the better! Sounds like your on the ball!

that 75 will prob only last around 6mths before you start to get the feeling that he's cramped... your gut will tell you I'm sure. but if not then it would prob be best to try moving it around 12-16" (it'lll happen ALOT quicker than you think it does... Check out the growth rate of mine here (next to the picture).

Because the 75 was free. (minus gas to get it) I thought it would be nice to be able to view it for a while from the side, rather from above. When it's not being used, I can use it for something else, like breeding convicts for food. Speaking of viewing from above, what kind of verticle space to they require? I have seen it use every bit of space in this small aquarium, which makes me wonder if their habits change when larger? And aside from live feeder fish, what should I be feeding it? Do they have a preference when young. I read that they eat crustaceans in the wild. That being said, I suppose they will eat just about anything. What does everyone here feed theirs?

Most people feed them Raw frozen shrimp, an we always like to "push" people away from feeders as it's not really the healthiest way to raise the fish however you seem to be set up for it and I'm sure you watch over your fish for all types of desiese and parasites so I won't warn you with regards to that. RTC's will generally eat anything that fits into their mouths... As for Vertical space they really don't need much, at all the older they get the less they will "roam" for the most part ... ok so basically they just turn into lumps that do nothing but lay around all day and "cruise" the tank at night.
