Just be prepare to ready to let it turn any fish or invertaberates into poop! (oh yeah the about the poop thing? you going to need an extra filter.)because Perpare yourself, in six months from now it will be a foot long!... 2 year will be 24- 27inches.

The bigger the fish you fee him the faster it will grow(i mean, REALLY GROW fast!)

I got mines in a huge indoor pond, what you got is a serious Moster Titanon your hands.

Just a suggestion, but you might want to plan on making a huge indoor pond for him within the year or prepare for a huge custom aquarium. Or go the extreme route I have heard several other people do and eat him when he gets too big for you. I wouldn't but I have heard from others that RTC tastes like pork lol.

My RTC that you see in my avatar ate my 10" atf after eating 2 8" smelt and a 4" squid that same night. and he is only 19 months and about 22" in a 240.

i had a 15 inch one for a week or two, he was just way to big for my 55 gallon tanks and tore it all up

I bet he tore it up, 15inch redtail in a 55gal tank. that's really pushin it.

just regulate his diet. i know its tempting to stuff his face. but keep it moderate. try not to offer any live food. so he knows to only eat dead crap. mines only 2 months n hit about 5-6" now.
