Redtail Cat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yah all i can do is wait. Not giving more foods to eat. He does have tank mates. He is moving around but the stomach has not gone down yet. I can only hope for a better outcome. I had to move 2 tinfoil barb over to my main tank. Cis it was picking on my ATF but didn't know the Catfish would eat them since the Tinfoil was bigger. I was wrong my Tig cat ate the smaller one n this Cat ate the bigger one. As of today he is still moving around but hasn't **** it out yet. I hope soon cause he look like a ballon right now. Thanks all for your insight on this. If anyone know more. Please let me know. Thanks

Just make sure he doesn't eat ANYTHING he will be fine my RTC at my peacock bass and took him 2 weeks before he looked normal again

I'd say try and feed peas but I don't think adding that to its belly is smart in the current condition

Has his belly swollen any? I've had a similar situation when my rtc ate my texas. It will take a while for it to digest, so long as his belly hasn't increased size it will be fine. As for salt it will help him pass yes if he is blocked up, however, if the Barb hasn't been digested it won't help.

Thanks for the advices. But I took him out of the tank on Sunday n rub his belly to feel for anything inside that is hard or hasn't been digested. Its feel like air inside his stomach n soft. So i kind of massage his belly n put him in the tank. Then came back about 2 our later n his stomach was getting smaller n fed all my fish at night n the RTC actually start to eat n eat. So it been 3 day since n he look better n has a smaller stomach. Here some pix to show u guys. Once again Thanks all for the advices n helps.
