I have one Redtail Catfish about 2 inches long in a 10 gallon tank with one Tiger Oscar and Pleco. I know the tank is overcrowded but, I'm getting a bigger tank soon. The 1st problem is the Catfish is fat. He's really bloated. I been feeding him bloodworms and beef heart for 2 weeks now. Is it bad that he's like this? The 2nd problem is that the Pleco (4 inches) is attacking him. This only happens when the Catfish enters his hiding spot. What should I do?

Get rid of them. Might sound harsh, but that's my honest opinion. Trust me. Do yourself, and us all, a favor and get something else. And please don't tell me your new tank is a 30 gallon...

that catfish is going to be longer than the tank he's in in less than a year. you have the WRONG fish (all of them, not just the catfish) for a 10 gallon tank. your best bet is to return them to the LFS you bought them from sooner rather than later.

Our words might upset you dude, and you might actually think you're going to get a bigger tank and it's all good, but no. You dont start a rtc in a 10 gallon. Especially with an oscar and a Pleco. This is most likely your largest tank, being that they're in there, so I would be safe to assume you've never had these before. Take it slow. Start small. Find them new homes and go with something else.

And You Know This, MAAaaaaaan!

That red tail cat is going to get bigger than you and you should get a regular pellet or wafer you should feed him and feed the treats about three times a week at most.
