oh an one more for kicks to prove the point im makeing. bala sharks are kept in crazy small tanks. usually 1st fish for many kids as there all over pet stores. well did u know in a long time they can get to Adult Size: Up to 10 inches (25 cm) or more
But usually smaller in captivity well thats to big for a 10 or even 20 gal tank, but we do, bc they grow so slow, but common sense would tell u that someday u will need to rehome or get bigger tank if u wanna keep the fish healthy

Wow, so you are even aware of its maximum size and you still think it will get larger than my 225 gallon tank. :screwy::screwy::screwy:

Okay, I see I'm going to have to take this slow for you:

The maximum size ever recorded of a silver arowana in the wild was 47"-- that is 1 inch below 4 feet-- an arowana at that size would be about 6 inches wide and 9 or 10 inches deep. Now look at my tank's dimensions. My aquarium is 6 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 2 and a half feet tall, so if you put those dimensions into inches, they are 72", 24", and 30". Now, if you passed your 1st grade math class, then you should already know that 72 is more than 47, 24 is more than 6, and 30 is more than 10.... are you keeping up so far, or is this too complicated for you? Assuming you have understood what I've said so far, you should now realize that the world's largest arowana was, in fact, NOT larger than my aquarium, so now I am going to take it a step further: fish in captivity do not reach the same sizes as those that are found in the wild, therefore a realistic adult size is more like 35 inches, which, again assuming you passed your 1st grade math class, you should already know is even smaller than 47!

Wow, wasn't that a wonderful lesson in the proper application of common sense?

lol let me slow down for u. read again. i said 95% have kept fish that could get larger than what there in, u even qouted it. lol i even said many arent as lucky to have a tank ur size. lol before u got that 200 plus tank what fish u have an what size u have them in. are u that slow. i never said ur fish, i used ur fish as an example ur not the only one with those fish an most dont have a 200 plus to put them in. my point was that some point or another we all keep fish in a tank they will get to large for. am i wrong. read slowly.

Yes, which is complete and utter BS! I'm sorry, I am having a very difficult time dumbing myself down to your level.

Considering he isn't capable of capitalization, spelling, grammar or punctuation, I suspect its too complicated for him. Your efforts are largely lost, which is unfortunate.

Where did you hear that I am keeping balas in a 20 gallon? I am keeping them in a 225 gallon with the rest of my larger fish, and a 14" fish (yes, they get to 14", not 10") is NOT too big for a 225 gallon tank. Seriously, what are you on?

That is not even close to what you said, but whatever, I'm done with this arguement, I feel like I am arguing with a stubborn 5 year old.

Thanks, that really means a lot coming directly after your previous string of stupidity.
