Redtail catfish breeding

Even if the plan isn't to breed them, it would teach us a lot about conditions, etc, which we can then apply to other cats.

I have a pondfull of baby catfish. I was told they were the tiger ones by one of the guys that does maintenance, but reading all this on how easy redtails breed, I think I had better go look and see what they are. I haven't been to see the pond lately.

Redtail catfish don't naturally breed in captivity...you would have to extract the sperm and introduce it to the female yourself...and I have never heard of anyone doing that except with platinum rtc's because they are rare, and sell for thousands.
