Redtail Catfish okay price?

well it depends on the size of the Red Tailed Catfish itself also...so how big is the one in the LFS? for $50 I can get anything like a 6"-10" and if its anything smaller than you may be getting a big pirce tag on your money....lol but it may just be where you live
there about 3-4 inches. I live in Central New York, i rarely every see them around here.

well that seems alot for just a 3-4"er...here in California and many other places...go for only $25-$40 for that size...but well if its true with New York not really having much of any at all then I say go for it...=] it may be a slight fair price considering its not seen much in your area...but I would have payed way less for one small RTC like many of us but go ahead and buy it =D
Thanks guys. Well i can say im going to be a proud red tail catfish owner. I called and had tom hold one for me until i get there in the late evening tomm.
Any suggestions on feeding or shelter? i have a lot of mylasian(spellcheck) driftwood hes going to be able to hide under for now while hes small.
