Lix i was reading in an older post that is discussing about the difficulties to keep, short term life span and sudden death of armatus. So I was assuming that tatauaias are more commonly kept without this issues. Maybe I just misunderstood the thread.

another question, are red tail tats good as solo fish? I no they live in schools, but would 1 tat alone be fine?

1 tat is better then 2. however they do like to shoal with a group of 3-5. and they look awesome in a group. im sure if you had a single one u could also mix up the tank with wide bodied fish as dithers to bring some constant movement to the tank
