Pacus would be best since they grow faster than redtails within a year or two they will be to o big to swallow

Exactly, i would say none. Some guy came into the LFS complaining how his RTC swallowed his 9 inch arowana. The owner, not shocked at all chuckled to himself and remarked that just the other day a RTC he kept on the display tank ate a 6 inch discus. He kept them together because he thought the discuses odd shape would deter any advances from the RTC, i guess not.

Before talking about tankmates for these monsters, just what size tank are you intending to keep all these in?

I don't think an aro would be a good tankmate for a RTC:

I've seen pix of RTC eating clown knives and aros.....

Alright, I just went to the zoo on Friday and saw the RTC tank there.
-2 RTC (I remember there being more)
-3 Aros that were alittle smaller the cats
-abounch of pacus but I didn't count them
-1 giant turtle of some kind
