Just as the tittle says it has a white patch on its tail and it seems to be getting larger. Its swimming around just fine and iv seen him eat a few times, but since i got him he really doesnt eat as much as the senegals hes in with. Iv read they can go a while without eating and it was normal for them to not eat for a dew days.

Anyone have a similar problem with these guys.

I have them with bichirs and i dont notice anything abnormal , the bichirs are always hungry. The only thing i notice is the largest bichir has a single white spot on his head and a tiretrack eel has like ashy skin like, its kinda hard to take a photo of him because hes always moving but i will try when i get off work

Thanks in advance

Iv added some aquarium salt anf raised temp from 80 to 86

Post some water parameters and pics of the fish. Would suggest reducing the temp down to 78 to 80 degrees. Keep the salt at 1tsp per gallon.

It seems to have affected my bichirs as well as my eel , bichirs have white small patches and eel is covered in white soft patches.

Ammonia is 0,nitrite is 0, nitrate is 30ppm(about to do 50% )

I would suggest some paraguard. Some of the spots on the eel and Senegalus look like ich. The rope looks like heater burn. Keep the water clean and it shoul improve.

Update, rope fish has passed and other one is in quarantine and im treating with melafix, how ever several of my bichirs have small white patches on their bodies. Im really not sure what to do i cant seem to get much help anywhere.
