its personal prefference to what light you want. IMHO TEKs are a much better light then novas and well worth the extra cost.

ok i didnt know that.... good to know

from what i've seen the teks are better than novas as well..

the individual reflectors alone are worth the difference in price.. parabolic reflectors are just a waste of plastic/metal

i was hard pressed to find a light with individual reflectors AND 6 or 8 bulbs.. most of the 4 bulbs came with individual refl.

im getting the 8 bulb tek light (monday, not tuesday now :D) for my 75.. i do think it might be a bit of overkill, but on a 90 gallon the added 4-6 inches (forget how many it is) would make it worthwhile the price difference between the 6 and 8 bulbs is negligable.. the difference from 4 to 6 is greater..

i bought a nice halide light on ebay for $420 with free shipping... hehe... and it was brand new :)

pendant light right?

i've never seen a new full setup (actinics and lunars) go for under 800 for a 48 model
