I dont know if this has ever been brought up but I was looking at triggers and found that the only triggerfish that is "reef safe with caution" is the pinktail trigger. Is there any other triggerfish that can be kept in a reef tank?

Pink Tail is, in fact, safe.

This all depends. My brother had a pinktail in a 125gal reef. Yes they are safe in that they will not nible at softies and LPS like angelfish, and no they do not eat hard corals. BUT the fish did go after the inverts and some of the smaller fish despite being well fed. On the other hand Ive seen a 400gal with niger, picasso, and a queen trigger with no problems. Then again they were offering up sacrificial blue leg hermits about three times a week...so be ready to pay the price.

when it says reef tank with caution it is geared toward how most triggers will attack sessile inverts so be careful with your selections if you choose a trigger for your reef.

Crosshatch, blue jaw, niger, and pink tail are generally regarded as the most coral safe triggers
They may still attack clams shrimp crabs and small fish
The crosshatch and blue are the most reef safe in this regard

After 10 years working in LFS, I can tell you this the best advice. Also related to the Crosshatch and Blue-throat is my fav, the Sargassum.

Okay, i think if i was to get a smaller one with my current stock he may even acclimate better and hopefully be a little more friendly.
