  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Pretty interesting idea. Wonder how it would look turned into a lamp, with shade mounted above it

howdy peeps\

the system is still alive, just updating old threads. imagine how many tanks were set up, matured, then lost just since our last post much less the start of the vase. I estimate to have earned $500 off the vase in 5$ frags, the most recent set of acanthastrea and blasto frags made and shipped last month. this is a coral producing aquaculture farm, and it will outlast nearly any reef tank set up you know of except for paul b's lol

what seems novel is actually not, its kicking the butt of most full size reef aquariums. in fact, owners of large size reef aquariums show up in droves for tricks in algae control developed solely off this vase. google this: pico reef pest algae challenge thread. all that comes from this one vase as well

consider how your predictions might have went down a few years ago in reading this vs the outcome...that difference is how much work there is left to do in aquarium science

Very cool read. Not something im familiar with at all, but I love that you are trying something totally different and unconventional and getting excellent results. You sound like a pioneer and this hobby will be better because of it. Thanks for this thread and your creativity. Well done

Man, one of these days I am going to try such a vase......

The exact same system is still alive :)

this is a poorer choice in music lol turn speakers down. Every pico reef's grandma is still alive, the system has no biological lifespan limit. My child has grown up during its lifespan and taken all nerf balls out of the house, so its expected to live some more decades until some other mishap fells it. But that will not be a biological mishap :) she's bulletproof engineered:

Its better to kick up the old threads vs the new so the changes and challenges can be charted, that's why the old thread keeps getting updated a few times per decade. Ya'lls forum is looking good/good energy nice tanks team
