I have an 75g reef tank running. It has 2 Percula Clownfish and 6 Green Chromis. it still in the making. i want to get a good light set up but not to sure whats what. lol i saw that some of the lights put out a "blue" color while other where "white" in color. the light bar i have will suppot 4 bulbs at 48" each.(t5 sytem) Should i mix the bulb 2 white and 2 blue, or all 4 blue, or white??? what would be the best to do?

It is best to do 2 10,000 K bulbs, and 2 Actinic bulbs most saltwater corals need that blue spectrum and so do your fish. Also what kinda corals you housing in the tank and how many watts is your fixture?

I think the wattage on my fixture is around 160, (not to sure. i will have to look to find out when i get home.) as for coral, i have none started yet. i want to get the tank running good and have all the lighting needed before attempting to grow any.

What will the fiji purple light do for the tank?

10000k bulds look better and make your tank look " cleaner" with actinic bulbbs... its kinda like old ladies dyingg thier hair blue to make it look whiter... anf 160 watts wont work for corals

fiji purple bulb is a waste don't waste your money. As far as corals depending on watts per gallon will also help you decide of what corals are good for your application, 5-6 watts SPS, LPS, Clams are perfect anything less will be fine for zoanthids, soft corals, mushroom corals.

Depends on what you want. Color or Growth.

Corals grow better under 10K or 12K. Coral colors look better under 14k or 20K. The higher the K the more blue spectrum. I am not a fan of the whiter reef tank. I like the blue look and the colors look way beter out of the corals.

Also make sure your fixture is High Output and not just T5 fixture.

i have 2 150 wat blue medal halide they look white tho and 4 65 wat actinic power compact lights in my 90 gal reef and it looks beautiful and all my coral have doubled their size in 4 months. nudz is fool of it dont listen to him i've had reef tanks for years so i know for a fact that the light setup i have is perfect for all different coral clams and fish. good luck on deciding what light setup you choose.
