Muds and musks are very very small, easy to feed, and not as active.
Box turtles require many specific things in their territory, as well as a large enclosure. ALL turtles love space. Just because theyre slow doesnt mean they sit still.
Turtle docks are unessecary. The smooth plastic ones are okay, but the Zoo Med fake rock one is abrasive, as well as the 'turtle log'. They cause abrasions on turtles feet.
A basking area for softshells is no different than a RES or other active turtle. Just go lower wattage and closer to the spot rather than a high wattage farther away. Keep the beam not as focused on one spot, they can dry out (dessicate).
A male eastern spiny fits your bill just fine. Florida softshells get common snapper size.

I like bands such as Led Zep, Van Halen, Boston, Rush, U2, Pearl Jam, Guns N Roses, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top... I like anything from classic to punk to metal to hard rock.
