Correct. It helps stabilize ph some.

You don't need to worry about the pods getting stuck in the sponge this will actually be a great place for them to breed. And I would go with live rock as well. As far as feeding the pods you shouldn't have to. I don't know the specific species DT's sells but I would guess they are either Tigriopus or Tisbe and they will both do fine on stuff that settles in the tank and fuge. And your macro looks to be like a Gracilaria species to me.

I'll call him tomorrow and see if he knows the exact species. With the LR should I use rubble or small rocks? Do I need the AC at all?

I would go with rubble it will give the pods more places to hide and breed.

Any idea of the amount i should put in there?

Rock - okay place for baby pods to hide in if it is REALLY porous.

Chaeto or algae scrubber - POD HEAVEN.

So i finally got an impeller. I purchased it off amazon and it came in today. However it does not fit the shaft. What's the dealio? Do I have to mod this or something?

jbj makes a great clamp on light . very compact. 15&25w versions. the 15w is like $35.00

overlap your fuge light with your main lighting for an hour or so.
