Regani, pearsei or argentae - which is best glassbanger?

it all depends on the fish as u know i have a farm and have all of these fish in all sizes i would say that the argentea is the meanest hands down and can b a glass banger BUT if u are looking at the wrong fish for that type of fish if u want a fish that is always in ur face pearsi i have 14in ones for sale that will not leave u alone lol
 
I'd go with the pearsi. Regani are quite timid and shy and argentea while aggressive to other fish are not that personable. I've owned regani and argentea and haven't owned pearsi though.
 
I bought a 4" Pearsei today. It acts as if it had been with me for much more than a day. He seems to be very interested at what's going on outside the tank.
 
^^ Still curious but he is getting pushed around too much by the others. I will have to take him back or sell for something a little more assertive. I never thought of it as a "Glassbanger" though.
 
my pearsei is huge about 14 inches,does have personality,and eats like a ravid dog. They are very owner responsive and intelligent. Mine knows the difference between me and my girlfriend. When he sees me he will come to the front and beg,when he sees her he splashes,lifts the lid and flips around in the tank(thats how i know she overfeeds him when i am not around)she is truly his favorite owner.:ROFL:. but regani and argentea look far better than a pearsei in my opinion.
 
i got a 2 inch argentea last november, and is currently around 7 inches. i got a 1 1/2 inch pearsi in march and is already around 8 inches. so you can tell whos growing faster. i think the pearsi is growing faster than my oscar did. so if growth rates are a concern id go w/ the pearsi. its also the most personable of the 2. always splashes water at feeding time......and eats like a hog

i agree,mine grew to over a foot in a year.after that he seemed to slow down on the growth but not the eating.
