Regarding barbels

Hi guys! Would like to know whether broken barbels will fall out by itself? Mine seems like its broken/fractured. Don't want it growing up with a broken barbel...

No they don't fall out by there selfs. It had to have hit the side of the tank or something.

I would leave it & see what happens, if you cut it I doubt they'll grow back - fish will heal it's self

my fish had barbells get damaged (broke) they grew back. it was due to trauma of hitting the glass when my fish jumped

It will recover but maybe not back to normal.

My silver broke his barbel off. It was back to normal in weeks. There barbels heal very quickly from my experience and what I've read. I have heard that if the damage is too close to the mouth it may not grow back or grow back properly.

Ok so i think i'm going to cut off the fractured barbel. The missing barbel has grown and it looks disproportionate to the fractured one. Anybody knows how i should go about anaesthetising aros?

Bro use clove oil it will sedate arowana.
