I hear you Bsixxx Bsixxx . I'm picking up what you're putting down.

I'd argue that's what this place is supposed to be already. Endangered species aren't always banned from trade here in the US. Most of the banned species we have are species that are minimally threatened but which are able to adapt to and thrive in native US waters. So long as a species is endangered but not regulated, I don't see any reason why a similar situation can't exist here on MFK with endangered but non-regulated species. The problem that we have however, is that many endangered foreign species are more temperate than tropical and could easily establish themselves here, which results in them being regulated.

As to the quality of the stickies, I hear you on that. All it takes is someone who knows a thing or two about the subject at hand and a little free time to square it away. I've got the knowledge, but generally not the free time.

Stickies aren't set in stone. I'm always open to to volunteers willing to help bring our info up to date.

I am for a database for fish species. Like planetcatfish does for every fish and has breeding reports/documentation. Breed the fish that is legal in your state/county of residence. It will further the good of fish husbandry and increase traffic on this site. Just saying its a huge project to undertake

This idea is why I joined MFK, WAfishbox, cichlid-forum, shelldwellers, plantedtank, ect. I'm a successful breeder of guppies and shellies ?.
My cliff notes are add water. Yes, my sarcasm and smart assery get me in trouble almost every time.

Appreciate the transparency with me and this subject
Thanks!

Small steps is what it takes to get back on track.

And for what it's worth, this very subject is a bottom-up approach of the whole "curator" thing I was trying to push through a couple months ago. Find good quality stuff, archive it in a searchable manner, place that searchable material in a place that's easy to find.

Maybe I'll play around with the forum list and see what I can do....
