I knew there was nothing in Texas.........
Played that game before huh? Thanks for clearing that up for us -

But I would still take the vehicle back and see if they can work something out, if there is a chance of them getting more money out of you they might go for it.

thanks guys, yea, california doesn't have cooling off period. they didnt' go thru with me at time of purchase about buying cooling off time or what not so don't think i have it

i emailed the guy to see if there are any other options, still waiting for him to respond. from what i'm getting from other people, i kinda screwed myself. not that i dont' like what i got, i like it, it's just that i wouldn't mind paying a bit extra per month for the EX model. it's got some features i really wanted. i think they'd be willing to do something for me but there's a definite down side to doing that. penalties or losing my sales tax/fees or having to lose out on money in one form or another to trade for an upgrade

i may just have to settle for now and maybe in a year or two I can trade it in there or elsewhere

I hear you. I bought a Civic LX a couple years back for a daily driver. I really wish I would have bought an EX. LX does not have all-wheel disc brakes and a few other amenities that I really like. Oh yeah... and the civic I bough was a piece of crap.:irked:

Never "played the game" but I have sold cars years back and work in LE, I have a pretty good idea about current laws......

Every dealership I have been to or bought cars at had warnings posted all over the dealers offices warning " Ca cooling off period does not apply" or some words to that effect. I haven't bought a car in a while but I remember when I got my GMC Sierra the guy even pointed that out to me.

Sorry bro , best of luck.

looks like I'm stuck with it, the guy never answered my email but i think he called once while i was at work but didn't leave a voicemail.

typical,............. before i bought the car, he answered all calls and email in a timely manner. once you drive the car out the lot, you have to be the one to hunt them down

i know we bought a car for my mom and she didn't like it after she started driving around..the dealer did not mind swapping it into a different car.. this was in florida.. so things vary.. but i would talk to the dealer who sold you the car as long as you would be buying another car from him..ps.. as soon as you drive a new car out of the showroom it loses value ......so you have to act fast
