regular jd and ebjd

its the same species of fish... so probably pretty well.... but you have to take account into the size of the male and female.. and the mature level of both fish...

Make sure the female is big if your male is big.... Typically... Male JDs are bigger than Female JDs...

An EB/JD spawn will result in 100% Blue Gene fry. No EB's

why would you think that they wouldnt get along?
No idea but already got my ebjd and on the first day they are swimming together already and the ebjd is half the size of the regular jd. All is good for now.

Some Dempseys are pretty rough on their mates... If your larger male decides to put the female through a tough testing phase, she may be damaged in the process (or worse)...

But not all do...

So I understand why you would have some concern... and there is no simple answer to your question... It all depends on your specific specimens attitude...

Question: How do you know your Blue Dempsey is a female?
