you can get a triangle bar from a acryic shop. and use weldon#6 on it. its a isisolies triangle, perfect for sealing 90's

are you refering to the long traingle sticks that i could run up the length of the seam? if so i actually already have them on there from when i first resealed the tank in japan. when i set the tank back up here after i moved i noticed a small leak so i applied weldon and it has stopped leaking. im thinking maybe the acrylic solvent i used in japan may not have been the same grade stuff as weldon? and maybe it was damaged on the move over here. the tank is kinda old, so i guess thats where my concerns are really come from.
is it safe to assume that weldon on all the seams would still keep the tank structurally sound?

why do lobster tanks in stores have screws?

More than likely they "wet drove" the screws in with the cement. This is an old aerospace trick where the screw hole is drilled and tapped and the hardware (and partially the hole) is coated with the bonding cement. Then the screw is driven into the hole. Cement is also applied to the panel edges. The idea is that when the cement cures everything is one solid piece.

This works well for metal and wood but acrylic is a whole 'nuther story. I'm not fond of screws in acrylic.

I understand there is the standard Weld-on cement and there is supposed to be a two part commercial grade cement also which I heard is far superior.
