I stray way from this, but if petsmart is your best option, you might look into buying online. I only go into my local chain store for new tanks or supplies as they seem to have better options.

I just started a 35 gallon hexagon tank about a month ago,(yes i am a newbie)i went to wall mart to get a bottom feeder and bought a cat fish which turned out to be a columbian shark , the first week he was eating fine,not knowing that he was a shark i bought a few guppies and added them to my tank. now the shark is not eating can anybody give me some advice on what i should do

Not sure but I believe Colombian sharks need to be acclimated over to brackish water, if that's not an option for you try feeding him after lights out, most cats are nocturnal

i moved him to a 55 gallon tank and now he seems to be doing fine thank you
