What if they did? Would you like to see Yellow Lab cichlids swimming around in a CA lake?

That would just be totally awesome then.

:wall::angryfire:nono:Have you no sense?! This is not only illegal, but dangerous for the enviroment, many cichlids are voracious eaters and could take a toll on the enviroment!! Here in florida, the cichlids mainly stay in canals too hot for native fish, nontheless it is still very wrong to release cichlids into the wild.. it's because of people like you that HR669 is being considered..!

huh??? i didnt do anything. Just trying to get infos :screwy:

lol

No, really, where is your house? I think it would be great to hunt scorpions and vipers in your bedroom. They do it in Africa. What kind of vipers should I put in your sock drawer?

i didnt do anything. Just trying to learn. :screwy:
No, you're trying to commit forum suicide. Expect to be banned for openly expressing your desire to break so many laws at once. It's people like you that force lawmakers to restrict the pet trade. You need to go away. Now.

it's illegal but how bad is it when the the lake is closed up and not connected with any other water ways? Main concern is for the fishes. If they cant survive, we cant do it.

it is just as bad, in the off hand chance they survive, they non-native cichlids could potentially wreak havoc on native species, whether by out competing them for resources or even introducing non-native diseases.
also, if a breeding population gets going and fish and game finds out, there is a chance that the fish could be made illegal, or worse
look up snake heads and HR669 to see what releasing nonnatives can cause

knifegill.
now youre getting creepy dude. Dont scare me like that

Im not doing anything. Im asking questions on a subject Im curious about. Im not doing anything!! And I wont because I already see the reasons.

the reason is hr669 and the fish's safety.

Birds have been known to transfer fish by catching them and accidentally dropping them into another body of water. You cannot expect anyone with scruples to support you.

ok now youre getting creepy dude. Dont scare me like that
Thank goodness. You can do all the work for us by turning yourself in.

Oh my GOD. What is wrong with you? You would intentionally endanger an entire food web and possibly wipe out one or more species in your area for your own selfish greedy desires? What is your address?

CALM DOWN DRAMA QUEENS ...he was merely asking questions about it and wondering why it can be done in Fl and not Cali.

He should be COMMENDED for coming on here asking about it instead of letting them go and then coming on and telling everyone he just did it.

It can't be done in Florida. Florida is ruined thanks to actions like this.

He wasn't merely asking questions, he said that he planned on letting numerous cichlids go into a non-native enviroment which all can most deinitely wreak havok.!
