WOW I hope you dont get hail storms or typhoons/cyclones. Are you worried someone might steal the panels if you go away?
I am surprised you have such large electricity bills. Do you insulate the fish room? Do you use gas heating? If you are using water pumps then I recommend Grundfos circulator (UP) inline pumps which are very small, good head, extremelty quiet and low low electrical consumption. I have several fish rooms, one is 21m x 9m x 3m high and it costs me $25 per month in gas (fan forced gas heater) although you probably live in a much colder climate. Insulation is a huge factor in heating/cooling.
