24s, and im on ambo engine and fire boat. Certain stations switch back and forth. Also had open water drowning and missed a MVC, with flyout in my area because we were on the drowning. And im off!!!
48's for us and on an engine company. Our station houses a water tender, a brush engine, and one engine. We sometimes have a second engine in the station when we brown out one station due to budget cuts. We dont have trucks so when there is a structure fire we need mutual aid. We are close to the high way so we respond to MVC.

I've never heard anyone ever say firefighters are overpaid. Especially considering the ones in my area are volunteer firefighters.

The people that think you guys are overpaid are the ones that have never had to use firefighters. I personally appreciate all you folks do.
